WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse defeated St. John's 21-8 on the road in BIG EAST action on Saturday afternoon in Queens, New York. With the win, the No. 17 Hoyas improve to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in league play and clinch a berth in the upcoming BIG EAST Championship, presented by JEEP.

How it Happened
- Georgetown dominated from the onset, outscoring the Red Storm 9-0 in the first quarter. Ransom had four goals in the frame as six different Hoyas found the back of the cage.
- In the second, Georgetown blanked SJU for another five minutes before the Johnnies scored their first goal at the 9:58 mark en route to a 12-2 lead heading into the break.
- Coming out of halftime, St. John's scored the first two goals in less than two minutes but the Hoyas responded with a 6-1 run to end the frame leading 18-5.
- The Blue & Gray made wholesale substitutions in the fourth quarter as five Hoyas saw their first ever action for Georgetown and another five saw their first minutes this season in uniform. Chari and Kelly both netted their first career goals in the stanza.
St. John's Notes
- Adrian Nowak led the Red Storm (4-10, 0-4 BIG EAST) with two goals and an assist.
- Quinn Falasca had three caused turnovers for the Johnnies.
- In goal, Patrick Scarborough (4-8) had 17 saves in the loss.
Georgetown Notes
- With his six points, Carroll moves into 22nd place all time on the Georgetown career scoring list with 127 points. He passes Rickey Mirabito '11 on the list.
- Banks moves into the top-10 all-time in career caused turnovers, tied for eighth with 42. He passes Bobby Boyle '12, John Urbank '14 and Will Tominovich '24 on the list and is tied with Michael Mayer '17.
- Plath ties Banks for the most caused turnovers in a season by a freshman with 24.
- Ransom's man-down goal in the third quarter was the first for Georgetown since Jack Leary '24 against Providence last season.
- Georgetown's nine goals in the opening quarter were the most since a 9-0 opening frame against Mount St. Mary's in 2022.
- The 21 goals for the Hoyas are a season-high and the most since scoring 21 against Dartmouth last season.
