WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped Tuesday night's contest at Virginia 13-1 in seven innings. With the setback, GU slides to 13-27 overall while the Cavaliers improve to 21-15.
ON THE RECORD
"I was proud of our guys coming out and taking the lead in the first. Unfortunately, we couldn't overcome the big inning they had there in the third. I was proud of our guys out of the bullpen
Jake Anderson, Ryan Demartin,
Andrew Jergins and
Andrew Citron all throwing zeros and giving us a chance. Unfortunately, our offense couldn't get it going today. I thought we played great defense, and it is a really tough place to play against such a great program. We will regroup and get ready to travel to Cincinnati to face Xavier." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
