WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (7-5, 2-1 BE) defeated Xavier (1-10, 0-3 BE) 22-11 at Corcoran Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lola Mancuso opened up the contest with two goals for Xavier. GU responded with a five-goal scoring run led by Sophia Loschert with two goals. The Hoyas and the Musketeers exchanged two pairs of goals before Mancuso closed out the first quarter with her third goal of the day. At the end of the first quarter, the Hoyas held a 7-5 lead.
- The Hoyas widened their lead in the second quarter with six goals to go up 13-7 at the half.
- XU opened up the third quarter with a goal at the 13:26 mark. The Hoyas responded with two goals of their own. At the end of the third, Georgetown led 17-11.
- The Hoyas dominated the fourth quarter, holding XU scoreless and scoring five-consecutive goals to win 22-11.
OF NOTE
- Loschert led the offense with a career high of eight points and seven goals.
- Lauren Steer notched three goals while Emma Gebhardt and Hanna Bishop each added two.
- Bishop also led GU with five assists.
- At the circle, Gracie Driggs led with 12 draw controls.
- In net, Leah Warehime recorded 10 saves.
- The Hoyas outshot the Musketeers 37-27.

The Hoyas will return to the Hilltop for a midweek matchup against James Madison on Wednesday, April 9. Opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Cooper Field.
