Haney on Agubata: Destiny brings an elite-level skill package, shooting ability, athleticism and size at the guard position that makes us extremely versatile on both ends of the floor. A power guard with Big 12 experience, Destiny can create and score in a variety of ways. We wanted her to be a part of our program badly coming out of high school this past season, but it didn't work out that way. Now she's officially a Hoya and we are so excited that she has decided to join us this time around. A top-100 recruit coming out of high school, Destiny is a great fit. Be sure to tune in Hoya Nation, Destiny will be a treat to watch with us!

Haney on Barnett: It's extremely difficult to catch the eye of my staff and I as a high school player right now. Braelynn was able to do so from the start. Her combination of size, shooting ability and physicality made it evident to us that she fit as a player but once we got to know her we knew she fit as a person. We are super excited about Braelynn, she has so much potential and I can't wait to coach her. Hoya Nation, she is going to make you proud!

Haney on Byars: One word to sum up who Brianna Byars is and will be for us? Enforcer!! She imposed her will and displayed her rebounding, physicality and basketball IQ for two years in one of the most physical conferences in the country. Her experience, leadership ability and basketball pedigree made her a perfect fit for our program. She brings it every single night and is one of those types of players that every winning program has. She has no problem with doing the dirty work, but will definitely be a threat to score in our system. We were missing a piece to the puzzle and Brianna Byars is that missing piece. We are so excited to welcome Bri and her family to our family. Hoya Nation, the enforcer has arrived on the Hilltop!

Haney on Carter: Cristen has the size, athleticism, rebounding ability, finishing ability, toughness that screams a Georgetown Hoya! Easily one of the most dominant inside players in the BIG EAST the past two seasons, Cristen was a must have when we saw her name pop up in the portal. She brings a presence to our front court that will cause a tremendous amount of problems to our opponents. Two things that were evident when we got a chance to meet and recruit Cristen were her intelligence and willingness to be a part of something greater than herself. Hoya Nation, get excited! This young woman has everything it takes to be a Hoya great and you all are going to love her!

She has a toughness to her that Hoya Nation is going to love and just has a knack for putting the ball in the basket. She is a great teammate and is willing to do whatever it takes to help the success of this program and that's what I'm most excited about. This one is a star Hoya Nation! Haney on Davis: Summer went on a tear two summers ago and was one of our top recruits in the '24 class, and we are glad she eventually made it to the Hilltop. A combo guard, Summer brings a tenacity, passing and scoring ability that is tailor made for our style of play here at Georgetown. Some people just have an "it factor" to them that helps any program they are a part of succeed and Summer brings just that. A gym rat, great teammate, 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year & two-time State Champion with SEC experience Summer adds so many positives to our program. Hoya Nation get ready, Summer Davis is going to be one of the most exciting players you've seen wear the Blue & Gray and we're excited to have her with us!

Haney on Jewett: Laila brings size at the lead guard position, high basketball IQ, and a boatload of experience to our program and back home to the DMV. With big game, Big 12 experience Laila is just what we need to help take our program to the next level. In this new landscape it is very apparent that there are two kinds of players in my opinion. Those that kind of like the game, and those that are madly in love with it. Laila is the latter! Hoya faithful you are going to love this one!

Haney on Miller: One thing we knew, is that we needed to recruit with the graduation of Kelsey Ransom was what we call a "Shot Creator". Someone who, when the play breaks down, can find a way to muster up a bucket or a foul. Khia Miller is just that! A three-level scorer who can rack up points in a hurry, Khia brings the explosiveness and attack mentality we love out of our guards in this program. She also understands that being a stout and savvy defensive player is a prerequisite here in our program and Khia feeds off of her defense! The DMV native & high school National Champion is back home, Hoya Nation, and she is going to be a treat!
