WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team defeated the Coppin State Eagles, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-27, 25-21), on Wednesday night at the Reitz Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. With the win, GU improves to 2-5 on the season while the Eagles slide to 2-5.
Head Coach AJ Bonetti
"I was very proud of the team's ability to execute in a tough away environment. We came in with a game plan and we executed that game plan. This was a great team win."
Katherine McGregor
"I think we came out with a lot of energy, which we talked about in the beginning, and I think we succeeded with that. What helped me with blocking today was the really good communication from the back row on and off the court. Our energy was there and we executed what we needed to. It was a really fun way to play and I hope we continue to play like that."
