WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team defeated the Norfolk State Spartans, 3-2 (25-20, 26-28, 20-25, 25-16, 15-6), on Thursday afternoon in Clemson, South Carolina. With the win, GU improves to 6-5 on the season while the Spartans slide to 0-10.

• Dionna Mitchell fueled the Hoya attack with a match-high 20 kills, while Katherine McGregor and Grace Albaugh chipped in 11 and 10 kills, respectively.
• Albaugh also sparked the service game, leading the team with four aces.
• On defense, Berkeley Ploder and Maria Filippova anchored the front line, each recording a team-best four blocks.
• Natalie Nguyen directed the offense with a team-high 32 assists, with Juleigh Urbina close behind at 24.
• Mitchell tallied 15 digs while Jade Smith had 12 digs for the Hoya defense.
