Hoyas Host St. John’s in Saturday Doubleheader

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team will return home to host the St. John's University Red Storm under the lights at Shaw Field on Saturday evening in a BIG EAST matchup on the Hilltop. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dan Helfrich and Tom Greaser on the call in their 21st season in the booth. It is the second contest in a doubleheader with the women.

About the Hoyas
  • Georgetown (5-2-2, 1-0-0 BIG EAST) is coming off its fourth-consecutive win after downing the No. 25 George Mason Patriots 5-2 on Tuesday.
  • Georgetown outshot GMU 28-8, and had 12 on goal to the Patriots' four.   
  • The Hoyas were awarded 14 corners to Mason's three in the contest.
  • Junior Matthew Van Horn and sophomores Mitchell Baker and Jack Lindimore each scored a goal apiece. 
  • Senior Zach Zengue's two goals made this his third-consecutive game with multiple goals.

  • Zengue is leading the squad in scoring with eight goals and four assists for 20 points on the season. He is tied for third in the nation in total points, and is second in the country in total goals.
