Hoyas Host James Madison on Tuesday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team will continue its six-match homestand with a matchup against the James Madison University Dukes on Tuesday evening at Shaw Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dan Helfrich and Tom Greaser calling the action in their 21st season in the booth.

  • Georgetown (1-2-2) is coming off of a 2-2 tie with the then-No. 14 Duke University Blue Devils on Friday evening at Shaw Field.
  • Senior Zach Zengue led the way with his first goal of the season as well as an assist, while Mitchell Baker added a goal for the Blue & Gray.
  • For his effort Zengue was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
  • Zengue is leading the squad in scoring with a goal and three assists on the season for five points.
  • Baker is second with two goals on the year, while both freshman Tim Logan and junior Oliver Stafford have tallied a goal this season.
  • Senior Tenzing Manske has played all 450 minutes in the goal and has a 1.20 goals-against average as well as one shutout to his credit.

  • Georgetown was picked first in the BIG EAST Conference East Division Preseason Coaches Poll as the Hoyas were awarded 65 points and 10 first place votes

About the Dukes
  • James Madison is 0-3 on the season with losses to Fordham (1-0), Gardner-Webb (1-0) and Rutgers (4-1).
  • The lone goal of the year was scored by Diego Ossa in the loss to Rutgers on Friday.
