Squash Hosts No. 11 Tufts at Squash On Fire

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's squash team returns to action for another top-15 showdown on Friday, welcoming 11th-ranked Tufts to the Nation's Capital. The 15th-ranked Hoyas and the Jumbos will face off at 6 p.m. at Squash On Fire in the District.

Hoya Notes
  • Georgetown (4-4) went 1-2 to open the 2026 calendar year with a trio of 5-4 matches. The Hoyas fell to Middlebury and Amherst before closing out the weekend with a win over Williams.
  • Ella Erickson and Lindsay Lee won all three of their matches over the weekend while Cici Curran and Sanah Syed both posted 2-1 records.
  • On the year, both Erickson and Lee have 6-2 overall records while Curran, Mary Kacergis and Audrey Gelinas each have four victories.
Scouting Tufts
  • The Jumbos are 5-3 on the year but are coming off of a 5-4 loss to Amherst on Tuesday.
  • Anika Hoyal is 6-2 for Tufts while Chloe Bergam is 5-3.
  • Georgetown and Tufts have played once before with the Jumbos winning 6-3 in the season opener a year ago.
Next Time Out
Following Friday's competition, the Hoyas return to action on Saturday, January 31 as they host No. 6 Virginia at Squash on Fire.
