Georgetown to Face Xavier on Saturday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball game at Xavier University has been moved to Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at Cintas Center. The BIG EAST Conference matchup was originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon, but moved up due to the impending winter storm this weekend. Sunday's opening tip is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Paul Fritschner and Rich Hoyt on the call.

  • New this season, the BIG EAST Conference has partnered with ESPN to broadcast more than 75 women's basketball games on ESPN+.
  • All remaining Georgetown women's basketball contests that are not broadcast on linear television will be available on ESPN+.

  • Georgetown (11-8, 4-6 BIG EAST) is coming off of a tough 83-42 loss to the No. 1/1 UConn Huskies on Thursday evening at CareFirst Arena in Southeast Washington, D.C.
  • Graduate student Brianna Scott led the way for the Hoyas with eight points in the contest.
  • Sophomore Destiny Agubata pulled down a game-high nine rebounds along with scoring six points for the game.

  • Mariyah Noel finished with 16 points and a team-high six rebounds as well as two steals, while Meri Kanerva had 15 points as four Musketeers scored in double figures.
  • Noel is leading the team with 15.9 ppg, while Mackenzie Givens is second with 11.0 ppg on the year.
  • Xavier's BIG EAST wins include Providence (61-47), DePaul (71-61) and Georgetown.
