Georgetown Travels to Butler on Wednesday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will travel to Butler University to take on the Bulldogs in a BIG EAST Conference matchup on Wednesday evening at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. The opening tip is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

New this season, the BIG EAST Conference has partnered with ESPN to broadcast more than 75 women's basketball games on ESPN+.
All remaining Georgetown women's basketball contests that are not broadcast on linear television will be available on ESPN+.

About the Hoyas

Georgetown (8-6, 1-4 BIG EAST) is coming off of a tough 52-51 loss to Xavier on Sunday afternoon.
Junior Khia Miller led the way with 18 points, while sophomore Destiny Agubata added 12.
Junior Cristen Carter was tough on the boards with 10 rebounds to her credit.
The Blue & Gray shot 38.5% (20-52) from the field, and allowed just 31.7% (19-60) shooting by Xavier.
GU outrebounded XU 43-37, and Georgetown forced 11 Musketeer turnovers on five steals.
Miller leads the way for the Hoyas this season with 11.4 ppg.
Graduate student Laila Jewett is averaging 8.9 ppg and leads the squad with 44 assists.
Carter leads the team on the glass with 6.1 rpg to go along with 6.6 ppg.

About the Bulldogs

Butler is 7-8 on the season and 1-4 in BIG EAST Conference play.
The Musketeers are coming off of a 67-59 loss to Creighton on Sunday in Nebraska.
Butler's last win was a 64-58 victory over Xavier on December 19 at home.
That is also the squad's lone BIG EAST victory.
Lily Zeinstra leads the squad with 10-1 ppg, while Caroline Dotsey is second averaging 9.3 ppg and a team-best 5.5 rpg.
Hoya junior Cristen Carter will see familiar faces on the opposing sideline as she transferred to the Hilltop from Butler this season.
