Hoyas to Face DePaul in Chicago on Saturday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will continue its road swing, traveling to DePaul University to take on the Blue Demons in a BIG EAST Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The opening tip is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET, and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

  • New this season, the BIG EAST Conference has partnered with ESPN to broadcast more than 75 women's basketball games on ESPN+.
  • All remaining Georgetown women's basketball contests that are not broadcast on linear television will be available on ESPN+.

  • The Hoyas are coming off of a 63-46 victory over Butler on Wednesday evening.
  • Graduate student Laila Jewett led the way with 17 points including an 8-8 performance from the line as well as a trio of triples, while classmate Brianna Scott added 11.
  • Sophomore Destiny Agubata led the Blue & Gray on the glass with seven rebounds in the contest.
  • The Blue & Gray shot 37.5% (21-56) from the field, and allowed just 31.7% (13-41) shooting by Butler.
  • GU outrebounded BU 35-24, and Georgetown forced 20 Bulldog turnovers on 10 steals.
  • Junior Khia Miller leads the way for the Hoyas this season with 11.3 ppg.
  • Jewett is averaging 9.4 ppg to rank second and leads the squad with 47 assists.

About the Blue Demons
  • DePaul is 3-14 on the season and 0-6 in BIG EAST Conference play.
  • The Blue Demons had a bye this week, but are coming off of a 69-59 loss to Providence last weekend.
  • DePaul's last victory was a 78-48 win over UMass Lowell on December 11.
  • Kate Novik leads the Blue Demons as the long player averaging double figures with 11.8 ppg.
