WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's soccer team fell 4-2 to Creighton on Wednesday night at Shaw Field. With the result, Georgetown moves to 5-6-5 overall and 2-4-3 in BIG EAST play, while Creighton improves to 7-6-3 overall and 3-3-2 in conference action.
Head Coach Dave Nolan
- "We were really disappointed with the manner of the goals we gave up, because there were four set pieces. There was a penalty kick, two corner kicks, and a free kick, and we had individual errors in there, in those important parts of the field and important moments of the game. We looked like we were getting ourselves back into the game, and then we got back to 2-1. Very quickly after they scored their second goal, they went down the field and made it 3-1. We kept the play, but we needed to have all our troops to make that a competitive game. Not having Lizzy and not having Kaya took two of our more physical, two of our taller, two of our more defensive kids, and it was just too much."
