ON THE RECORD
"I give our men and I give our staff a lot of credit. Preparation over the week, I thought we executed a game plan on both sides of the ball. We shared the ball. The ball had a lot of pop. I thought our players had a lot of pop. I appreciated all the fans that came out from both schools to support this game. This is something we wanted to do, and something we hope to continue to play as we move forward. I think it's a great game for our community, a great game for both fan bases, alumni and you know, faculty and staff. It was just a good night here in the District, and you know we were really fortunate. We shot it well, we shared the ball at a high clip, right, and you know, it was a good win. You know Buzz [Williams] has a very physical team, a very athletic team, and I thought our team definitely stood up to that challenge, and we were able to give it all and get over the hump by moving and making a lot of shots." - Head Coach
Ed Cooley
"We're trying to take the DMV over again. I mean, we're trying to get the identity back. We know what this program is made of and the history that's in it, and we just need the trust in the fans and trust within each other to build this whole thing back. So that's our whole game plan. That's our whole identity to bring this program back." -
