Hoyas Host Butler in Play4Kay on Saturday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will host the Butler University Bulldogs on Saturday in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at McDonough Arena. The opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Jeremy Huber and Martin Bahar calling the action.

  • New this season, the BIG EAST Conference has partnered with ESPN to broadcast more than 75 women's basketball games on ESPN+.
  • All remaining Georgetown women's basketball contests that are not broadcast on linear television will be available on ESPN+.

  • Saturday will also be Georgetown's Play4Kay game, and fans are encouraged to wear pink to support the cause. Additionally, there will be a pregame ceremony honoring survivors and former GU Head Coach Tasha Butts.

  • Georgetown (13-13, 6-11 BIG EAST) is coming off of a big 62-60 win over the St. John's University Red Storm on Wednesday evening in New York.  
  • Graduate student Brianna Scott tied her career high with 22 points to lead the squad, while she also managed a team-best five rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
  • Sophomore Destiny Agubata scored 13 points as the other Hoya in double figures.
  • The Blue & Gray shot 46.0% (23-50) from the field, and allowed 45.1% (23-51) shooting by St. John's.
  • The Hoyas were outrebounded by the Red Storm, 29-24, and GU forced 15 SJU turnovers on seven steals.
  • Junior Khia Miller leads the way for the Hoyas this season with 10.0 ppg.
  • Agubata is averaging 8.7 ppg to rank among the scoring leaders and is tied for team lead on the glass with 4.7 rpg.

  • Butler (9-18, 3-14 BIG EAST) is coming off of a tough 67-58 loss to Creighton on Wednesday evening at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
  • McKenna Johnson led Butler, scoring a career-high 18 points to go along with four rebounds and an assist in the contest.
  • Saniya Jackson leads the BU offense, averaging 9.4 ppg.
  • Caroline Dotsey leads the squad on the glass, pulling down five rpg.
  • Butler is 0-9 on the road this season.

  • Georgetown is 13-13 all-time against Butler and 6-6 at home. 
  • Earlier this season, GU defeated Butler 63-46 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
