Georgetown Travels to Villanova on Saturday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will travel to Villanova University to take on the Wildcats in a BIG EAST Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at Finneran Pavilion in Villanova, Pennsylvania. The opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Nick Mantegna and Harry Perretta on the call.

  • New this season, the BIG EAST Conference has partnered with ESPN to broadcast more than 75 women's basketball games on ESPN+.
  • All remaining Georgetown women's basketball contests that are not broadcast on linear television will be available on ESPN+.

About the Hoyas
  • Georgetown (12-11, 5-9 BIG EAST) is coming off of a close 64-62 loss at Creighton on Wednesday evening in Omaha. 
  • Sophomore Destiny Agubata led the way with 21 points, eight rebounds and three steals in the contest.
  • Graduate student Brianna Scott was also in double figures scoring 17 points for the game.
  • The Blue & Gray shot 39.7% (25-63) from the field, and allowed 46.4% (26-56) shooting by Creighton.
  • The Hoyas were outrebounded by the Bluejays, 38-31, and GU forced 13 CU turnovers on seven steals.

  • Jasmine Bascoe led the way in the win with a game-high 27 points to go with five assists. Kennedy Henry and Brynn McCurry added 12 points each.
  • The 'Cats have two players averaging in double figures with Bascoe leading the way averaging 18.0 ppg.
  • McCurry is pulling down a team-high 5.5 rpg to go along with 11.6 ppg.
  • Villanova is 10-2 at home this season.
