WASHINGTON – A pair of Georgetown University men's lacrosse players earned BIG EAST Weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Monday. Jake Bickel was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week while Rory Connor earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for their efforts in the Hoyas 10-9 setback to No. 9/10 Ohio State in the home opener over the weekend.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Bickel scored a pair of goals to go with one assist in the loss to Ohio State. The three points were the first in his career on the Hilltop. Bickel is the ninth player on Georgetown's active roster to have earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors at some point during their rookie season.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Connor led the Hoyas with three goals and an assist in the loss to Ohio State. He posted his third hat trick in as many games with the Hoyas on the season. This is Connor's third BIG EAST weekly honor after earning Offensive Player of the Week accolades on February 16 and an honor roll nod last week as well.
