WASHINGTON – Following 36 of a scheduled 54 holes at the Daniel Island Invitational, hosted by College of Charleston, the Georgetown University women's golf team sits in 15th place with one more round to go on Tuesday. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being played on the par-72, 6,166-yard Ralston Creek course at the Daniel Island Golf Club. The tournament plays host to a field of 15 Division I teams with the Hoyas carding a 46-over 622. At the top of the leaderboard is High Point University at 4-over 580.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Georgia Ruffolo is the top Hoya on the leaderboard as she is tied for 46th place at 8-over 152 (76-76). She tallied one birdie (0/1) and a squad-best 25 pars (13/12) for the day.
- Catherine Qiu, playing as an individual, is tied for 63rd at 12-over 156 (75-81). She managed three birdies (2/1) and 21 pars (11/10).
- Also tied for 63rd is Milla Sagel with her 12-over 156 fueled by cards of 80 and 76. Sagel managed four birdies (2/2) and 19 pars (8/11).
- Sunny Wang currently is tied for 72nd place at 14-over 158 (76-82). She tallied four birdies (2/2) and 23 pars (12/11).
- Mimi Burton joins Wang in a tie for 72nd with cards of 80 and 78 for her 14-over 158. She tallied one birdie (0/1) and 24 pars (12/12). In the first round, her front nine was a clean nine-consecutive pars.
- Gabriella Eifrig rounds out the Hoyas as she is tied for 79th at 16-over 160 (80-80). She managed two birdies (1/1) and 20 pars (9/11).
