WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team defeated the Youngstown State University Penguins 7-2 on Saturday afternoon at Capital One Park. With the win in Tysons, Virginia, the Hoyas improve to 14-10 on the season while the Penguins slide to 3-16.
ON THE RECORD
"I'm really proud of our group today. I thought that they answered the call. You know, we had a tough game yesterday, but I thought that we were committed to coming back and playing good, clean baseball. Trajan Lee gave us a great start, and then our bullpen was great. And offensively, we had a big inning in the fourth. We did what we needed to do and got guys on with some bunts and things like that. But it was just really good to see our guys respond. And you know, now we have a chance to win the series tomorrow. So looking forward to coming back to Capital One Park tomorrow at 1 p.m." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
