WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team defeated the Youngstown State University Penguins 6-3 on Sunday afternoon at Capital One Park. With the win in Tysons, Virginia, the Hoyas improve to 15-10 on the season while the Penguins move to 3-17.
ON THE RECORD
"You know, really just proud of our group. I was just so happy about how we responded after the game on Friday. And we had a tough game on Tuesday, tough game on Friday, and our guys, you know, we had won a couple games in a row there, but just to get us to win a series on a Sunday was great. Spencer Seid gave us an unbelievable start to go six innings, he was just awesome. Our defense behind him was great as well. And I thought, you know, the weekend came down to our two-out hitting. We had six two-out hits, and four of them were RBIs. So really great for us and really happy how we came out and competed the series against a really good team." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
