WASHINGTON – After the first 18 holes at the City of Oaks Collegiate hosted by NC State University, the Georgetown women's golf team is currently in ninth place at 21-over 309. The 13-team field is playing on the par-72, 6,188-yard course at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club in Raleigh, North Carolina. The 44th-ranked hosts Wolfpack lead the field at 8-over 296.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following the first 18 holes, a quartet of Hoyas are tied for 25th at 5-over 77. Sunny Wang managed one birdie and 11 pars in the first round.
- Gabriella Eifrig carded her 77 on a squad-best three birdies to go along with eight pars.
- Catherine Qiu fueled her 77 with a pair of birdies and 11 pars.
- Playing as an individual, Mimi Burton's 77 is bolstered by her consistency tallying a squad-best 13 pars.
- Georgia Ruffolo is the fifth Hoya on the leaderboard at 6-over 78 to sit in 38th place. Her round saw a pair of birdies and 10 pars.
- Milla Sagel is in 54th place at 8-over 80 with one birdie and 10 pars to her name.
