WASHINGTON – Two Georgetown University men's lacrosse players earned BIG EAST Weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Monday. Liam Connor was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week while Jake Bickel was tabbed the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week following the Hoyas going 1-1 last week with a 14-7 win at Loyola and an 18-12 setback at eighth-ranked Syracuse.

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Connor scored five goals and dished out 11 assists in two games for 16 points as the Hoyas went 1-1 on the week. He had three goals and six assists in the win at Loyola while adding two goals and five assists in the loss at No. 8 Syracuse. Connor's nine points against Loyola are tied for seventh most in a single game at Georgetown while his six assists are tied for fourth most. He has dished out at least five assists in four games this season, including each of the last three.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Bickel made his first two career starts last week and combined for five goals with two ground balls. He scored a career-high four goals in the win at Loyola and added another goal in the loss to the Orange while also collecting one ground ball in each game. This is Bickel's second BIG EAST Freshman of the Week nod this season.
