WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the North Carolina A&T State Aggies 13-8 on Saturday night at World War Memorial Stadium. With the loss in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Hoyas move to 16-11 on the season while the Aggies improve to 5-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Aggies struck first in the top of the first with a three RBI single to center, jumping out to an early 3-0 lead.
- Georgetown got on the board in the bottom of the second as Pozzi reached on a fielding error, allowing Gilio to score and cut it to 3-1.
- In the bottom of the third, Hamilton doubled to center to bring home Peek and make it a one-run game at 3-2.
- The home team answered in the top of the third with a solo home run to push the lead back to 4-2.
- Georgetown evened things up in the bottom of the fourth as Pozzi scored on an error, Ilitch later came home on a stolen base and Sheffield launched a two-run homer to give GU a 6-4 lead.
- The Aggies responded with a big inning in the top of the fifth, using a three RBI double and a two RBI single to reclaim the lead at 9-6.
- In the bottom of the sixth, Sheffield drove in Ilitch on a groundout and Peek scored on a passed ball to pull Georgetown within one at 9-8.
- North Carolina A&T broke it open in the top of the sixth with a sacrifice fly, a run scoring on a wild pitch, an RBI double and another sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 13-8, a margin that held as the final score of the game.

- Sheffield hit his second homer of the season.
