WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the North Carolina A&T State Aggies 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at World War Memorial Stadium. With the loss in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Hoyas move to 16-12 on the season while the Aggies improve to 6-19.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS

• Connor Peek went 1-for-4 with a double and a walk.
• Christian Hamilton went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs, two walks and a run scored.
• Jeremy Sheffield drew a walk.
• Ashtin Gilio went 1-for-4.
• AJ Solomon drew a walk.
• Braxton Templin scored a run and had a walk.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Georgetown jumped out in the top of the first as Hamilton crushed a solo home run to right field to take a 1-0 lead.
• The Hoyas added on in the top of the second when Hamilton drew a bases-loaded walk, bringing in Templin to make it 2-0.
• The Aggies got on the board in the bottom of the fifth with a sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to 2-1.
• North Carolina A&T took the lead later in the bottom of the fifth with a two RBI double, enough to go on and secure the 3-2 win.

OF NOTE

• Hamilton hit his fourth homer of the season.
