WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the St. John's University Red Storm 12-6 on Friday night at Jack Kasier Stadium. With the loss in Queens, New York, the Hoyas slip to 18-16 on the season and 1-3 in conference play while the Red Storm improve to 15-17 and 4-0 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Storm struck first in the top of the third with an RBI single followed by a two-run homer to take a 3-0 lead.
- SJU broke it open in the top of the fifth, capitalizing on walks, a hit-by-pitch and timely hits to plate seven runs and extend the lead to 10-0.
- Georgetown got on the board in the bottom of the sixth as Price doubled in a run and Blair added a two-RBI single to cut it to 10-3.
- The Hoyas continued to chip away in the bottom of the eighth with a two-RBI single from Ilitch and a run scored on an error to make it 10-6.
- St. John's added insurance in the top of the eighth with a two-RBI single to secure the 12-6 win.
