WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team defeated the St. John's University Red Storm 10-7 on Sunday at Jack Kasier Stadium. With the win in Queens, New York, the Hoyas improve to 19-17 on the season and 2-4 in conference play while the Red Storm slip to 17-18 and 5-1 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Storm started the scoring in the top of the first with an RBI double to take a 1-0 lead, then added another in the top of the third on an RBI double to make it 2-0.
- Georgetown answered in the bottom of the fifth as Ilitch delivered an RBI single and Price was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to tie the game at 2-2.
- The Hoyas took the lead in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single from Larkins followed by a two-RBI single from Blair to go up 5-2.
- SJU responded in the top of the seventh with a pair of RBI plays to cut it to 5-4, then tied it in the top of the eighth on an error at 5-5.
- Georgetown broke it open in the bottom of the ninth as Price launched a two-run homer, Ilitch added an RBI single, and Peek followed with a two-RBI single to push the lead to 10-5.
- The Red Storm added two in the top of the ninth, but the Hoyas held on for the 10-7 win.

The Hoyas will be back in action on Tuesday, April 14 at Alumni Field for a midweek game against the UMBC Retrievers. First pitch in Baltimore, Maryland is scheduled for 6 p.m.
