WASHINGTON – Six Georgetown University squash standouts were named College Squash Association Scholar Athletes, as announced by the governing body. Seniors
Sydney Bramen and
Katie Hennessy earned the accolade for the second-straight year while juniors
Mary Kacergis,
Aaru Kuthari,
Lindsay Lee and
Ella Schoonmaker were all recognized as well.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be a two-time varsity letter winner at the school she is currently attending and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. The student-athlete must also be a junior or senior and have played a top-10 ladder position for the majority of scheduled CSA sanctioned matches during the season.
Georgetown went 8-9 in its fifth season as a varsity program, earning a third-place finish at the CSA Divisional Championship Kurtz Cup as well as posting a fourth-place finish at the MASC Championships.
