Hoyas Fall at Butler

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the Butler Bulldogs 6-0 on Saturday at Bulldog Park. With the loss in Indianapolis, the Hoyas fall to 21-18 on the season and 3-5 in conference play while the Bulldogs move to 15-23 and 5-3 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Bulldogs broke through in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead.
  • Butler added on in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI double to extend the advantage to 2-0.
  • The Bulldogs pulled away in the bottom of the eighth, stringing together an RBI single, a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch and a two-RBI single to cap a four-run inning and secure the 6-0 win.

UP NEXT

The Hoyas will be back in action on Sunday, April 19 at Bulldog Park for game three of the series against the Butler Bulldogs. First pitch in Indianapolis, Indiana is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
