WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the UConn Huskies 22-4 on Saturday afternoon at Capital One Park. With the loss in Tysons, Virginia the Hoyas slip to 22-21 on the season and 4-7 in conference play while the Huskies move to 24-20 and 9-5 in league action.
ON THE RECORD
"I? thought for the first four innings of the ball game, you know, it was a close one there. We just left guys on base in the first and third innings and couldn't get that hit when we needed it to take the lead. They had the two big innings there in the middle part of the game, and I? appreciate our guys coming back in the fifth to answer with some runs. I? think that was one of those days where you have to kind of have a short memory and come back out tomorrow and be ready to fight to salvage the series." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
