Georgetown Earns Four BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Individual Honors; Eight Hoyas Named All-BIG EAST

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Eight Georgetown University men's lacrosse standouts earned All-BIG EAST honors while the Hoyas collected four individual postseason awards, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Rory Connor was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, Ty Banks was tabbed the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season, Jake Bickel was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and Head Coach Kevin Warne and the Hoya staff earned BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year.
 
Additionally, Banks, Liam Connor and Rory Connor were each unanimous selections to the All-BIG EAST First Team while Bickel, Evan MacFarland, Kevin Miller, Anderson Moore and Robert Plath were each named All-BIG EAST Second Team.
 
Warne, along with Associate Head Coach John Hogan, Assistant Coaches David Shriver and Ted Moon, and Director of Lacrosse Operations Matt O'Donnell earn BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year for the sixth time. The Hoyas also earned the accolade in 2015, 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

All-BIG EAST First Team (unanimous)
Banks repeats as the unanimous BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season and is a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection for the third time in as many seasons on the Hilltop. As Georgetown's top cover defenseman, he has been credited with 16 caused turnovers to go with 18 ground balls on the season while adding an assist on the offensive end. He joins Georgetown alum Will Bowen (MSF'23) in 2022 and 2023 as the only multi-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year honorees.

Connor has made the most of his lone season on the Hilltop, earning unanimous BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year and unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team honors for the Hoyas. He has scored 48 goals to go with 11 assists for 59 points in 12 games this season and ranks second in the NCAA in goals per game (4.00). Connor has scored multiple goals in every game this year, posted at least 10 hat tricks and seven goals in a game twice. A Tewaaraton Award Nominee, he was also named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week three times this season and to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll five times. Connor joins Georgetown standouts Daniel Bucaro (C'19) in 2019, Jake Carraway (B'20, MiM'21) in 2021, both Graham Bundy Jr. (B'23, MiM'24) and Dylan Watson (B'22) in 2022, Tucker Dordevic (MiM'23) in 2023 and Aidan Carroll (SFS'24, MSB'25) in 2025 as BIG EAST Offensive Players of the Year.
 
Jake Bickel

All-BIG EAST Second Team
Bickel had a breakout campaign in his first season on the Hilltop, scoring 14 goals to go with eight assists for 22 points in 11 games this year. He tallied a career-high four goals against Loyola and had a career-best six points (3G, 3A) against St. John's. Bickel was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week three times this season and is the sixth Hoya to be named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, joining current teammates Patrick Crogan in 2023, Anderson Moore in 2024 and Ross Prince in 2025 along with TJ Haley (C'24) in 2021 and Daniel Bucaro (C'19) in 2016.
 
Liam Connor

All-BIG EAST First Team (unanimous)
In his first season with the Hoyas, Connor put together one of the most productive regular season campaigns in program history. He has scored 18 goals to go with 44 assists for 62 points. Connor leads the NCAA in assists per game (3.67) and is fourth in points per game (5.17). His 62 points are tied for 15th-most in a season all-time at Georgetown while his 44 assists are second-most and just five off the single season Hoyas record.
 
Evan MacFarland

All-BIG EAST Second Team
MacFarland established himself in Georgetown's long list of long-stick defensive midfielders from the get-go, putting together 15 caused turnovers and 30 ground balls as a rookie to go with a goal and an assist. Georgetown's defense is ranked No. 15 nationally, allowing just 9.83 goals per game.
 
Kevin Miller
Sophomore | Midfield
All-BIG EAST Second Team
Miller had a standout sophomore campaign, putting together one of the best offensive seasons in BIG EAT play. He posted 17 goals and a pair of assists on the year for 19 points, including 13 goals in league play to tie for seventh in points per game. Miller put up five goals in Georgetown's win at Denver and a hat trick at Villanova in the season finale.
 
Anderson Moore

All-BIG EAST Second Team
Moore earns his third All-BIG EAST honor after second team recognition and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year honors in 2024 and First Team All-BIG EAST recognition and BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year accolades in 2025. He posted a 9.83 goals-against average to go with 143 saves and a .554 save percentage in 12 games this season. Moore collected double-digit saves in all 12 games, including tying a career-high 14 three different times. He was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week twice this season and to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll three times.
 
Robert Plath
Sophomore | Defense
All-BIG EAST Second Team
Plath earns All-BIG EAST Second Team accolades for the second year in a row. The sophomore defenseman has been credited with 10 caused turnovers – including seven in BIG EAST play – to go with 13 ground balls on the year. Plath helped anchor a Georgetown defense that held its opponents to single digit goals in seven games this season, including four of the five BIG EAST contests this year.
