COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the University of Maryland Terrapins 21-6 (7 inn.) on Tuesday night at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium. With the loss in College Park, Maryland the Hoyas fall to 26-27 overall while the Terrapins move to 25-28 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Georgetown took an early lead in the top of the first on an RBI groundout from Peek, but the Terrapins answered immediately with a grand slam to take control.
- UMD continued to add on in the third and fourth innings with home runs and extra-base hits to extend the lead to 11-1.
- The Hoyas plated two runs in the top of the fifth on a walk and hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded, but Maryland responded with five runs in the bottom half to break the game open at 16-3.
- UMD added five more in the bottom of the sixth, before Georgetown scored twice in the top of the seventh, but would go on to fall 21-6 in seven innings.

The Hoyas will be back in action from Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16 at Capital One Park for the final series of the regular season against Seton Hall. First pitch in Tysons, Virginia is scheduled for 6 p.m.
