WASHINGTON – Three members of the Georgetown University softball team were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, as announced by the organization this week. Graduate student

Claire Turner and sophomore
Nina Sarlo each earned the accolade.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's contests played or must start in at least 66 percent of the games.
Marina Egbert

Pitcher
Hillsborough, Calif. / St. Ignatius College Preparatory/NYU
- Appeared in 26 games with 11 starts and a 4.92 ERA to her credit.
- Managed 30 strikeouts and four complete games in her season on the Hilltop.
- Named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week on April 6.
- Also received the honor as an undergraduate at NYU.
- Received a Master of Arts in Communication, Culture & Technology.
Claire Turner
Senior
Outfielder
Palo Alto, Calif. / Saint Francis
- Started all 42 games she appeared in and hit .263 for the year.
- Had 36 hits on the season, tallying six doubles, a triple and a pair of home runs.
- Batted in 13 RBIs for the Blue & Gray.
- Managed a team-best 13 stolen bases this past season.
- Among the career leaders in runs scored (86), triples (6) and stolen bases (52).
- An operations and analytics major.
Nina Sarlo
Sophomore
Second Base/Shortstop
Little Ferry, N.J. / Bergen Tech
- Appeared in 40 games with 37 starts and hit .234 for the year.
- Had 26 hits on the season tallying five doubles and a home run.
- Contributed six RBIs for the Blue & Gray.
- A finance major.
