Three Hoyas Named USA Lacrosse Magazine All-Americans

WASHINGTON – Three Georgetown University men's lacrosse standouts earned USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America honors, as announced by the publication on Thursday. Ty Banks and Rory Connor earned Second Team All-America accolades while Liam Connor picked up Honorable Mention All-America recognition.

USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American
Banks picks up USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-America honors after leading Georgetown's defense to allow just 9.43 goals per game. As Georgetown's top cover defenseman, he has been credited with 18 caused turnovers to go with 23 ground balls on the season while adding a goal and an assist on the offensive end. Banks led a Georgetown defense that held its opponents to single digit goals in nine of their 14 games this season and in six of the last seven. He was previously named the 2026 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year for an was a 2025 USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-American.

USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American
Connor has impressed in his lone season on the Hilltop, earning USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-America accolades after collecting an honorable mention nod as a senior at Colgate in 2025. The unanimous BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, he has scored 50 goals with 13 assists for 63 points in 14 games this season and ranks third in the NCAA in goals per game. Connor has scored multiple goals in 12 games this year, posted at least 10 hat tricks and seven goals in a game twice. A Tewaaraton Award Nominee, he became just the eighth Hoya in program history to score 50 goals in a season.

USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-American
In his first season with the Hoyas, Connor put together one of the most productive regular season campaigns in program history. He has scored 21 goals to go with 51 assists for 73 points. Connor leads the NCAA in assists per game and is fourth in points per game. His 73 points are sixth-most in a season all-time at Georgetown while his 51 assists set the single season Hoyas record. Connor was also a unanimous First Team All-BIG EAST selection and was named the BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
