WASHINGTON – Georgetown University All-American Ty Banks has been selected to represent Canada at the inaugural Pan-American Men's Lacrosse Championship set for August 16-23 in Kingston, Jamaica. The Pan-American championship serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Lacrosse Men's Championship in Japan.
 
Banks is a three-time USILA All-American, earning second team honors in 2026 and 2025 as well as honorable mention recognition in 2024. The reigning back-to-back BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, he also won consecutive Minto Cups with the Coquitlam Adanacs in 2024 and 2025.
 
Canada will play in Pool A alongside Argentina, the Haudenosaunee Nationals, Mexico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
