WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened their 2026-27 dual-meet season on Saturday, September 26, hosting William & Mary at McCarthy Pool. Both squads put up competitive performances, but ultimately fell to the Tribe in a full-slate fall matchup.

Men's Highlights:

• Maxon C. Brienza, Braden L. Ripken, Henry D. Haupt, and Owen Watkins opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, touching the wall at 1:30.41.
• Lucas M. Knapp secured a first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.01.
• Ben Tunila captured first place in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 2:05.39.
• Holden Brown earned a win in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.26.

Women's Highlights:

• Madie G. Malone posted a dominant win in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 50.67.
• Bella Dimaculangan took first place in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:04.42.

Diving:

• Nico Santiago led the men's diving contingent, sweeping the boards with a score of 308.60 on the 1-meter and 300.40 on the 3-meter.
• Mia Williams swept the women's events, winning the 1-meter with 253.87 points and the 3-meter with 240.80 points.
