WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's golf team finished third at the Tribe Invitational to open the 2026 fall slate. The Hoyas finished third at 36-over 900 (302-292-306) in the eight team field. Longwood took the top honors at 21-over 885 while the hosts William & Mary finished second at 29-over 893. The Hoyas held more than a 40-stroke lead on the remainder of the field that competed on the par-72, 5,924-yard River Course at Kingsmill Resort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sunny Wang took the top spot for the Hoyas with the first runner-up performance of her Hoya career, carding a 2-over 218 (75-71-72). Her efforts were fueled by eight birdies and 37 pars over 55 holes.
- Catherine Qiu was the next Hoya on the leaderboard as she finished tied for eighth at 10-over 226 (75-73-78). Through three rounds she managed a pair of birdies and 42 pars.
- Competing as an individual, freshman Mahreen Bhatia finished 11-over 227 (75-76-76) to tie for 12th. In her Hoya debut, Bhatia recorded eight birdies and 30 pars.
- Mimi Burton carded a 12-over 228 (77-74-77) to finish 14th. Burton managed four birdies and 36 pars over two days of action.
- Tying for 16th at 15-over 231 (75-77-79) was junior Gabriella Eifrig. Her three-round score was fueled by seven birdies and 29 pars.
- In her GU career opener, Carol Yan tied for 21st at 17-over 233 (78-74-81). The Hoya frosh managed four birdies and 33 pars over three rounds.
- Constanze Keferstein tied for 33rd at 28-over 244 (82-76-86). Her GU debut saw six birdies and 24 pars.
- Rounding out the Hoyas on the leaderboard aaa Olivia Ty in 44rd place at 43-over 259 (84-83-92). The junior tallied the lone eagle by a Hoya over three rounds to go along with one birdie and 20 pars.
