Minneapolis, Minn. (Nov. 20, 1999) -- Fresno State rallied from a 15-point first half deficit to defeat Georgetown, 57-56, in the first round of the Regal Classic. The Hoyas held a 51-36 lead with 7:43 to play, but the Bulldogs made a 21-3 run to take the lead with just over two minutes to play. Georgetown was unable to score in two possessions in the final minute. The Hoyas (0-1) will now play in the Consolation game of the Regal Classic against either Ball State or Minnesota, the host school. Game time will be at 1:00 Central time.

Katie Smrcka-Duffy (Sterling, Va./James Madison) led the team with 15 points and seven assists. She had 14 of her points in the first half. Senior Danielle Hurley (Commack, N.Y./Commack) had 12 points and eight rebounds, while junior Dani Ilic (Boeblingen, Germany) chipped in with nine points on 3 3-pointers.
