WASHINGTON (Nov. 3) -- For the fourth-straight year, Georgetown University senior midfielder Liz Delgado (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Capistrano Valley) has been named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in women's soccer. Delgado is the only player in GU history to make the All-BIG EAST Team.
Delgado, a tri-captain, started every game since her arrival at Georgetown. She led the team in scoring during both her senior and junior years. Delgado finished the 2000 season with a team-high 20 points on seven goals and six assists. She was second on the team in goals scored and assists.
Earlier this year, Delgado set a new school record with four assists in the game against Wagner. She is second on Georgetown's all-time scoring list with 47 career points. Delgado is also second on both the school's career goal list with 16 and the career assist list with 15. She is third on GU's single-season list with six assists and 20 points. Delgado has scored the second-most goals by any Georgetown player in one season (seven). She was also named to the All-BIG EAST Rookie Team her freshman year.
