Washington, D.C. -- Georgetown's McDonough Gymnasium's doors will open at 10:30 p.m. on October 12 to kick start the 2001-02 men's and women's basketball seasons with Midnight Madness. Georgetown's men's basketball coach Craig Esherick and women's coach Patrick Knapp will address the crowd and offer some insights into the upcoming season. The players on both teams will be introduced which will be followed by a slam dunk contest and a three-point shooting contest. WPGC will deejay the event and there will be live performances by Bubba Sparxxx and other invited guests.
