BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- No buzzer-beater for the Georgetown Hoyas this time, and no more miracles for the Hampton Pirates.

Kevin Braswell scored 15 points and Nat Burton had 13 as Georgetown beat Hampton 76-57 in the second round of the NCAA tournament, putting the Hoyas into the round of 16 for the first time since 1996.
Tenth-seeded Georgetown (25-7) advanced to meet Maryland in next week's West Regional semifinals in Anaheim, Calif. The Terrapins beat Georgia State 79-60.
There was no more drama for the 15th-seeded Pirates (25-7), who shocked No. 2 Iowa State 58-57 in the first round.
Tarvis Williams, who hit the late game-winner against Iowa State, scored 16 to lead Hampton, but he was smothered all day by Georgetown's huge front line of 7-foot Ruben Boumtje Boumtje and 6-11 Wesley Wilson.
LaSean Howard scored 14 and Marseilles Brown had 12 for Pirates. Williams, Howard and Brown each got a long hug from coach Steve Merfeld when they left in the closing minutes.
Hampton's upset of Iowa State was the fourth time a 15th-seeded team has beaten a No. 2 since the tournament field expanded to 64 teams in 1985, but none of those first-round winners made it beyond the second round.
The Pirates tried to recapture the magic that carried them past the Cyclones, and with the Boise fans on their side, it didn't seem impossible to think they could pull off another upset.
Both teams traveled more than 2,000 miles, but this was a home game for the Pirates. As during the first-round upset of Iowa State, the Idaho fans embraced Hampton and its jazzy band and cheerleaders.
The Pavillion was rocking after Williams dunked on a feed from Brown with 10:53 remaining in the first half, tying it at 16. But the gym went silent when the Hoyas made a 26-6 run over the last 9:28 of the half.
Georgetown allowed only one field goal over that span, extending a 24-20 lead with a 14-0 run that featured 3-pointers by Braswell and 6-foot-11 Lee Scruggs, forcing a Hampton timeout 1:47 before the break.
That didn't slow the Hoyas.
Burton, whose dramatic game-winner withstood an instant-replay review in the first-round win over Arkansas, got free underneath for two easy layups in the last minute and Georgetown led 42-22 at halftime.
The Pirates used a 9-4 run over the first 3:17 of the second half to make it interesting.
Hampton got a big break when 6-foot-8, 260-pound Mike Sweetney was whistled for his fourth foul early in the second half and then got a technical for protesting the call. That put him on the bench with five fouls.
It was 50-35 after Williams hit two free throws, and the crowd got energized again. Just as quickly, the Hoyas put out the fire when Wilson sprinted down for a dunk that quieted the fans.
The Hoyas are in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1943 without John Thompson on the bench.
He watched from the first row behind the Georgetown bench after traveling from New Orleans, where he attended North Carolina's 70-48 win over Princeton. His son, John Thompson III, coaches the Tigers.
