Sarah Breech (Sr., Pacific Palisades, Calif./Harvard-Westlake), the Georgetown University Women's 2000 BIG EAST/Aeropostale Scholar Athlete, has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship by the BIG EAST Conference. The award, which recognizes a student-athlete's outstanding athletic and academic contributions, allows Breech to pursue graduate work.
Breech, a midfielder on the Georgetown women's soccer team for the past four years, ends her collegiate career with her name in the GU record books. As a senior this season, she played in 10 games and started in two. Breech took nine shots and tallied one assist. She is tied for sixth on Georgetown's all-time record list with eight assists and is 10th in career point with 20. Breech also ranks 12th in career goals with six.
In addition to her athletic accomplishment, Breech also excelled in the classroom. She was selected to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team in each of her four seasons on the Hilltop.
