WASHINGTON, D.C. ? Georgetown sophomore Elizabeth Roberti (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in a 1-0 overtime win against St. Jonh?s this weekend. Roberti helped Georgetown earn its seventh shutout of the season and scored a game-winning goal in the 91st minute to push the Hoyas to 10-6 on the year.
The goal was Roberti?s third of the season and the first game-winner of her career. The victory put Georgetown one win away from tying a program record for wins in a season.
The Hoyas return to action Tueday October 29 at 2:00 p.m. when the Bison of Bucknell visit North Kehoe Field.
