The Georgetown Hoyas women?s basketball team began the season 5-0 before falling to the University of Indiana on December 7. After two weeks off Georgetown looks to return to winning ways against the 5-3 Loyola College Greyhounds. Loyola is on a win streak of their own, taking five of the last six games and going undefeated in the last four. Loyola?s last contest was a 55-50 win over Towson University.

Georgetown is led by Rebekkah Brunson who leads the team in scoring (16.8 ppg) and rebounds (11.8 pg). Two other Hoyas average in double-digit scoring. Mary Lisicky has posted 13.0 ppg this season while Nok Duany has contributed with 12.8 ppg. Duany is also second on the team in rebounds with 5.8 pg.

Loyola College boasts two players who are scoring 12+ points per game. Jennifer Mitchell and Shontrese Smith have averaged 12.8 ppg and 12.5 ppg respectively this season. Against Towson, Smith netted 17 and chipped in with six boards in the win.
