CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. ? The Hoya men's tennis team traveled to Charlottesville, Va. to take on the nation's #28th ranked team, Virginia Cavaliers, and fell 6-1.
The Hoyas battled valiantly in the doubles competition that opened the dual match. However, Virginia swept the three matches. In the singles competition, Erik Bildman (Brookline, Mass./ Roxbury Latin School) pulled out a tough straight set win over Dillon Walker at #6 singles by a 6-3,7-5 score. Kevin Killeavy (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla./ Melbourne Central Catholic) lost a tough close match at #3 singles to Rylan Rizza 7-6,7-5.
The Hoyas continue their ACC weekend with a visit to College Park on Sunday to face the Maryland Terrapins.
