WASHINGTON - Georgetown men's tennis (5-14, 2-3 BE) dropped Friday's match against DePaul University, falling 5-2 at the Brigade Sports Complex in Annapolis, Maryland.

DePaul opened the match with a strong performance as Alejandro Gandini and Pablo Torres Almeida cruised to a 6-1 win on court two. However, GU's
Cyrus Zia and
Arthur O'Sullivan quickly evened the doubles competition with a 6-3 victory on court one. Thomas Giles and Sven Moser would clinch the opening point for the Blue Demons on court three with a 6-4 win.

Alejandro Gandini carried DePaul's momentum into No.1 singles action, defeating A. O'Sullivan in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to give his squad an early 2-0 lead. The Hoyas earned their first point of the match when
Jacob Mann captured a three-set victory over Augusto Pardo Cano in No. 6 singles, winning 7-5, 2-6, 6-1.

Sebastian Medica extended the Blue Demons' lead in No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 6-7, 6-1 over
James O'Sullivan, while Sven Moser clinched the win in a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory over
Sahil Morey in No. 5 singles.

Later on, Georgetown's
Jonah Hill picked up a 6-1, 6-7, 6-4 three-set win over Tobias Leitner in No. 4 singles. Pablo Torres Almeida closed out the win for DePaul in No. 3 singles, defeating
Joshua Lamm-Bocharov 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
