The Skinny
Georgetown and Rutgers tip it off for the second time this season. RU took the first game 67-64 at the RAC. Both teams are maneuvering for BIG EAST position with RU currently sitting seventh in the standings with seven wins and GU placing 10th with five victories. Rutgers leads the overall series 9-2 and has defeated the Hoyas six straight times in Washington.

All-America candidate Rebekkah Brunson is having one of the BIG EAST?s all-time career seasons. Never in the history of the BIG EAST has a player ended the season as the league?s leader in scoring and rebounding in conference games. Brunson currently is tops in the conference in scoring (19.2) and rebounding (9.9) in league contests. She is also the #2 player in the league for field goal percentage hitting 50.6% against BIG EAST foes. Once Mary Lisicky hits for seven points Brunson and Lisicky will be the first pair of 1,000 point scorers on the same court for Georgetown since the 1993 season with Kris Witfill and Leni Wilson.

Rutgers has gone 2-2 in its last four BIG EAST games with wins over Providence and Pittsburgh and losses to Connecticut and B.C. The Scarlet Knights are 3-8 overall away from home and star guard Cappie Pondexter has scored in double figures in 20 of 23 games.
