WORCESTER, Mass. ? Georgetown placed fifth at the BIG EAST Women?s Rowing Challenge at Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday afternoon. Notre Dame won four of five races to claim the title.
Led by its four individual race titles, Notre Dame finished with 116 points. The four individual race victories ties the Irish with Syracuse?s 2002 squad for the most at one challenge. Miami finished second with 92 points, while Syracuse (82), Rutgers (74) and Georgetown (73) rounded out the top five.
The Irish claimed the varsity eight (6:54.89), second varsity eight (7:09.17), varsity four (7:36.66) and second varsity four (7:35.74) titles.
Georgetown was the only other team to win a title, capturing the top prize in the novice eight (7:18.82).
