The Scoop
Georgetown and Seton Hall lace them up again in a BIG EAST rematch. The Pirates are one of five conference foes that Georgetown will face twice this season and is the first rematch of the year for the Hoyas. The initial matchup between the schools was Georgetown's first BIG EAST road game and the Hall spun away from GU with less than three minutes to play to secure at 55-48 victory. Since that contest both GU and SHU have found conference play to be tough with GU falling in three of four matchups and SHU losing all four of its games . The all-time series leans toward Seton Hall 26-18 but Georgetown has an 11-9 advantage when playing in McDonough Arena.

Points have continued to come from various sources for Georgetown as seven different players have led the team in scoring this season. Every player who has started a game for Georgetown has had at least one game as the team's scoring leader. Freshman Kieraah Marlow has been the Hoyas high scorer or tied for the lead in seven contests and Varda Tamoulianis has held the same distinction in four contests, including a Georgetown single game high of 27 points at Villanova. Mary Lisicky has led the team or tied for the lead three times while Bethany LeSueur, Sarah Jenkins and Kate Carlin have been the top point producer twice and Kristin Heidloff led the squad against St. John's. The starting lineup as a whole has had five games when four or more of the five have scored 10 or more points.

After starting the season with a 10-4 overall record and two straight conference wins Seton Hall has fallen on hard times, losing four straight league games. Three of the losses were on the road and in all four the Pirates did not score over 60 points. SHU is led by the duo of Ashley Bush and Monique Blake, who combined contribute 25.2 points (45% of total scoring), 15.6 rebounds (39% of total rebounding) and 3.6 steals (45% of total steals).
