Georgetown freshman forward Jeff Green (Hyattsville, MD/Northwestern) was honored with the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week accolade for the fourth time this season.

The award, which came for the week ending Jan. 31, was largely a result of Green?s excellent play on Tuesday against St. John?s. The freshman forward had 21 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in the 66-57 Hoya victory over the Red Storm.

During Saturday?s Georgetown loss to undefeated Boston College, Green had five points, five rebounds and a team-leading seven assists.

For the season, Green is averaging 13.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds. His rebound average is good for tenth in the BIG EAST rankings.

The Hoyas are 13-6 overall and 5-3 in BIG EAST play as they prepare to take on Seton Hall on Wednesday at MCI Center.
