Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown men's swimming and diving team loses to William and Mary, 138-98, while the women fall, 129-108, to the Tribe. Senior captain Corinne Rhodes (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) ended the day with two first place finishes.
For the women, the quartet of Rhodes, junior Liz Nugent (Westport, Conn./The Hopkins School), junior Laura Sytnyk (Nutley, N.J./Mount St. Dominic) and sophomore Caitlin Colling (Monson, Mass./Monson) notched a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. Rhodes swam into first again in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.63.
On the men's side, senior captain John Hayden (Woodbridge, Va./Osbourn Park) earned first place honors in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 16:58.59. The quartet of senior Heath Walden (Scituate, Mass./Boston College High), freshman Daniel Robinson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon), freshman David Ballinger (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville), and freshman Goran Bistric (Saugus, Calif.) placed first in the 200 yard medley relay. Also placing first was senior diver Santini Reali (Sarasota, Fla./Pine View) in the three meter diving event.
The Hoyas return to action Friday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Patriot Invitational in Fairfax, Va.
